Diabolus in Musica is a reference to the chord once feared as the "devil in music." Considered by many to be Slayer’s most experimental album, the band’s eighth studio release was largely composed by Jeff Hanneman and featured a more groove-based approach with down-tuned riffs driving the tracks. The record debuted at No. 31 on the Billboard 200.
